Monthly Giving Details

An automatic monthly withdrawal is another way you can show your support of the ministry at Pine Cove. Not only does it allow you to donate without the hassle of remembering or bothering with paperwork, but it provides us with a steady flow of income to allow us to continue to minister freely as well. An automatic monthly withdrawal is established at your discretion and will run for as long as you specify. You can choose to donate to Pine Cove’s general fund, or designate your donation to a specific area. You also have the freedom to change funds at will. Simply contact us specifying your desire to change funds, and we will make that change. For your records, you will receive a receipt for each withdrawal specifying the date and amount withdrawn from your account. We will also note where your gift was designated.

We have joined with the Dallas Seminary Foundation to provide individuals and families extensive estate-planning services free of charge. The Dallas Seminary Foundation has been assisting families since 1987, and would like to offer complimentary charitable planning to your family.

Estate Planning Details

  • Estate Planning: Learn how to provide for your family, save on estate taxes and enjoy the satisfaction of making a difference at Pine Cove.
  • Will Planning: The online wills planner is designed to help you gather the information your attorney will need to plan for your future. You will be guided through a series of questions that will help you identify your family members, estate assets and financial goals. Establishing a legacy by planning a gift to ministries like Pine Cove through your will ensures the future of ministries that you care about.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities: Did you know you could make a meaningful gift to Pine Cove while enjoying lifetime guaranteed income (some of it tax free) and receive an income tax deduction?
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts: These trusts give you flexible income and flexible timing as you make a gift to benefit Pine Cove and other ministries. You can transfer assets to a trust that will pay fixed or variable income to one or more individuals for life, or a period of time. Gifts of appreciated assets can be sold tax-free avoiding capital gains tax and preserving the entire amount to produce income for you.

Gifts of Real Estate

For a gift of real estate, please follow the steps below:

  • Please speak to a tax consultant regarding the tax ramifications of your donation. We want to ensure that this donation would be mutually beneficial before taking active steps in this process.
  • Once confirmed with a consultant, please send Pine Cove a detailed description of the property you are donating, including location, size, and other imperative descriptors. Feel free to email this description to development@pinecove.com, or send it to Pine Cove c/o Development; P.O. Box 9000; Tyler, Texas 75711.
  • Once received, Pine Cove will contact you to discuss the property and its potential use. When both parties have agreed, a simple transfer of title will transpire. Pine Cove will then provide you with a tax receipt for the third party appraised value of the property.

Gifts of Securities

If you would like to give a gift of securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) we ask that you proceed in the following way:

Please have your brokerage firm initiate an electronic transaction with Pine Cove’s firm, Dain Rauscher. Please refer to DTC #0235. Pine Cove’s account number is 30719968. Once transferred, Dain Rauscher will sell the donated gift and send Pine Cove a check for the amount of your donation. Once this check is received, you will receive a confirmation of your donation listing the type of gift and its monetary value. This gift is tax-deductible.
