Summer 2021 is right around the corner, so it’s time to do some staff introductions! Most of these staffers are new to the full-time Pine Cove team, but you may see some familiar faces in new roles below. Read more about what roles they’re stepping into and what they’re excited for this summer.
Sam “Bus” Peters: If you’ve been around Team Highland in the last few summers, you’re sure to recognize Sam “Bus” Peters. Sam faithfully served as the City Site Director for Team Highland last summer, and recently moved into the position of Lead City Site Director. This means that while leading his own team, he will also be assisting other site directors and shepherding them as they travel the country.
Hayden “Mr. Polar Behr” Weaver: Arkansas native and former Shores summer staffer Hayden “Mr. Polar Behr” Weaver will be leading Pine Cove City team Delta this summer in our Southeast region. Hayden is excited to travel with his team and create a seriously fun environment for campers to learn about the Gospel!
Ben “Icebox” Chubb: Introducing the new Pine Cove City Team Alpine site director! Ben served on our retreats team in East Texas before moving into this new role. He graduated from Texas A&M University and is a big Aggie fan! Ben is pumped to lead in a new way as a site director.
Avery “Queen Juice” Harlan: The loudest and proudest member of our East Texas City team is Avery “Queen Juice” Harlan! After serving for four summers at the Shores, Avery accepted her new position as a City Site Director for team Canyon. She is excited to create a culture of excellence and serious fun at many churches this summer!
Lance “Jabbasockee” Gilliland: Originally from Dallas, Texas, Lance “Jabbasockee” Gilliland went to Baylor University and worked at the Pine Cove Woods for four summers during college before serving for one summer on Pine Cove City Team Glacier. Now Lance has transitioned into the role of City Site Director for Team G! He cannot wait to continue to lead his staff and faithfully teach campers more about the Gospel.
Antonio “Mamba’s Boy” Wright: A familiar face around Pine Cove City, Antonio “Mamba’s Boy” Wright has recently stepped into a new role as Lead City Site Director of the Central Texas region. He is excited to mentor and shepherd staff that will not only impact our City campers, but also their communities as they head back to college!
Landon “Rhymes N Dimes” Fink: After serving faithfully for four summers on staff at the Shores, Landon “Rhymes N Dimes” is stepping into his new role as the City Site Director for Team Boulder. Landon graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He can’t wait to continue to serve within Pine Cove and pour into the lives of staff year round!
Selina “Who Dee” Apodaca: Longtime City summer staffer Selina “Who Dee” Apodaca is the new Team Iceberg City Site Director in our Central Texas region! She is from Amarillo, Texas and graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Selina is eager to shepherd her staff and point campers back to Christ this summer!
